The instructor

Grounded in examination and surgical practice

The course is built on direct experience of the MRCS Part A examination and on years of surgical practice. Each module reflects what candidates are asked to know, and how that knowledge is applied at the bedside.

The teaching mission is clear: explain anatomy carefully, prioritise high-yield basic sciences, and keep revision disciplined and focused on what the examination actually tests.

Teaching method

Theory linked to the questions you will face

Each topic begins with the underlying textbook principle, explained in clear anatomical and physiological terms. The lesson then moves to how that principle appears in MRCS Part A question formats, so theory and examination practice stay connected.

Revision is deliberately selective. Basic sciences are covered for their exam relevance rather than for breadth alone, so time is spent where it earns the most return.
